My glorious Vino con Vista Weekend in Las Vegas started when I checked in at the beautiful Bellagio Hotel. I stood under the magnificent Dale Chihuly glass sculpture ceiling called the “Fiori di Como” waiting for a room key. Who can resist this fabulous sculpture with over 2000 colorful hand-blown flowers. You can visit his gallery in the Crystals in the Las Vegas City Center in Gallery Row.

I love everything about the elegant Bellagio including the 8 acre lake that occupies the land between the hotel and the Strip. Every day, this modest body of water generates a magical dancing water display from the “Fountains of Bellagio” that’s synchronized to music.

Here’s my Vino con Vista video of the “Dancing Fountains” at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6j0Ds0bRkcI&feature=share&list=UUtjYfBrSeCtZk4CtjA41v8Q.

“The Fountains of Bellagio’s” choreographed water show is set to light and music. It takes place about every thirty minutes in the afternoons and early evenings and every 15 minutes from 8:00 pm until midnight.

I love the incredible conservatory at the Bellagio and the charming butterfly sanctuary. With an incredible array of fabulous pools, a great contemporary French restaurant called Le Cirque, Michael Mina’s seafood palace and the Picasso restaurant you’re set for fine dining options. In the morning, go to the charming Palio coffee shop for a latte and some fresh fruit. At the pool, order some sangria or a Bellagio Cocktail from the Pool Cafe. Go to Cafe Gelato or the Jean Phillippe Patisserie for some decadent sweets. With so culinary options and so many bars and clubs that serve “The Bellagio Cocktail”, why stay anywhere else? There is also a Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art with an exhibit called “Painting Women” with works from the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.

There are 34 paintings spanning 1860-1950 highlighting the artistic achievements of women painters including Mary Stevenson Cassatt, one of my absolute favorites! The current exhibit ends on October 26, 2014. General admission is $16.
